WHAT THE AUDIENCE SEES: Hand a
person a pair of dice and tell him to throw them.
Have him add the numbers on top of both dice to
the numbers on the bottoms. You have previously
made a prediction on a piece of paper. Hand a
spectator a deck of cards, telling him to count
down from the top the number of cards as the total
of the top and bottom of the dice. He does so,
and when the paper with prediction is turned over,
the name of the card written on it is the same
as
the card he counted down to!
SECRET: Before performing this effect, count
down to the fourteenth card of your deck.
Suppose it is the three of clubs. Write “three
of clubs” on a piece of paper. Your prediction
will always be correct because when the top
and bottom numbers of a pair of dice are
added, the sum will always be fourteen. |
